Richard Matheson

I have read the book I am legend of Richard Matheson and I must say it’s one of the best book I ever have read in many ways.

Why did I choose this book?

After I had seen the movie in year 2008 I was had always want to read the book and because people always say the book is always better then the movie that’s why I wanted to read but never had a chance and time to do it.

Until now when we had to read a book for blogging in our course, that’s gave me a chance to do it.

The book is about a man name Robert Neville who thinks he and his dog is the last man living on earth after the virus that transfer people into vampires. He lost his wife and dotter when the virus spread and after that he always dreams and got flashback about them.

He live in a big house there he have it protected so the vampires can’t reach him. In the basement he has a liberation that he tries to figure out the cure to help the vampires to being human again. In some way Robert is immune against the virus that’s why he is not affected and being vampires like the other.

The vampires are afraid of the sun light so Robert is trying to get food and other thing he need in the day light and try to connect to other people who maybe have survived from the virus.

Till the end he found the cure for the virus and he gave it to a girl who saved him from the vampires, and let her can take it to the city there normal people are still living.

After gave her that he suicide together with the vampires for protecting the girl.

The book is very good and different from the movie, but I still like the movie better because I’m lazy and don’t want to read if it’s not necessary. But I like this book because it criticize the community we are living in now and what can happen if the research goes wrong.

And it also learns people that, if u have nothing left and loneliness are hunting your back. You always have hope left, fight until the end and don’t give up.

I truly recommend this book for everyone if you don’t like to read or don’t have time, than watch the movie it’s really good.

The Story Of Stuff

I think this was a good video and I learned a lot after watching this video, it’s much thing that we didn’t have notice and have think on before saw this video.  I know that we are going to run out of resource and we are going to do something about it. But that we have used over 30% of the world was new for me. It’s just unbelievable that we are using so much for be just 5% of the world.

But to be honest I don’t really believe in everything in the video, she has some clearly point in the video and sure I agree with her in some part of the movie. Like that part that we spend more and more because we need it. But I don’t think that we are throwing away that much thing that she said. And that she said about breast feeding are infected with toxic it’s just ridiculous. How could it be infected? I don’t really know but I hope that she have run some test with breast milk and have that information that she said in this video.

About recycling I thing that is good and I totally agree with what her said in the video, we are pretty good about recycling her in Sweden. But that’s not enough that we in Sweden are recycling only, we need more lands to start recycling if it’s going to help our mother earth. If we are realistic it’s won’t work because some countries don’t really care about recycling. Why? Because there’s other thing that they need to put before the recycling on their list like, how to get food on the table, where to get money to children’s to go in school and other thing that’s are more important to them.

But truly said that this video is very good, I maybe don’t believe in all that she said but I still learned a lot from this video and I thing more people should know about this and see that video for themselves to got a better knowledge about it.

Snooping Bosses

That's two way to see on this case, both good and bad. But in what position we are in have a big significance, if we are employee or CEO. Becouse both of them have two different opinions on this.

But let us begin with the CEOs opinion.

What the CEO wants is have more control and see what the employee is doing at work. They want it to be more effective and the employee are doing that they have to do at work. If we look back in the article we can see that employers don’t always do what they are meant to do at work. In some of the example we can see that they are trying to kill the time with surf on different sites as Facebook and MySpace, but worst of all surf on hard core porn.

About the GPS thing on the cell phone is a good idea to see where the employed are. Like that example we saw about the employed that phoned sick, but the truth showed that he was driving to somewhere else is a good example to why we had to track employers.

As an employed and my own opinion in this case, I must say this is not good for either for employed or for CEO. This is more like a jail then a work place. If you have to track your employers and block theirs mail and check theirs mail or spy on them, then you don't trust on them. If you don’t believe in them, how can CEO expect them to do their work.

It’s fine that they block some sites so employees can't surf on. But block their mail so they can’t use some words or something like that is not right.

It’s no more privacy for the employed anymore. The CEO has control and can see everything, not only at work but even what they are doing at home. That’s just ridicules that can’t be legally.

If I was employee I have quit the job because CEO can see everything you do at work and at home if they want it too. They can track you with the GPS or that thing they put in the ID card. You don’t even have the right to write what you like in your own mail either that just ridiculous.

So if I have them as CEO then I don’t need a job like that and it’s not worth to put my heart in that job.
